The Old Testament’s prophet Habakkuk is wanting the Lord to do his violent duty, “How long, O LORD, must I… cry out to you, “Violence!” and you do not intervene?” The Lord finally avenges the Israelites and does his violent duty against enemy sinners, “For the violence done to (Israel) shall overwhelm you,” sinners. Habakkuk praises the Lord for doing his duty and saving the people through his violence, “In wrath… You came forth to save your people… You crushed the back of the wicked.”
Libertarians, like Bill Maher in a recent show, want to assert that the Left needs to concede a couple of things. First, it was not a founding privileged class, both the Left and Right, that still denigrates common people, but rather Leftists alone started putdowns. Second, it was not that same founding white male supremacist culture that cancelled women’s and Blacks’ and others’ human rights, but rather the Woke Left alone started cancel culture. Thus, Libertarians join with MAGA, who self-title as Christian, in blaming Leftists alone for starting political violence. Upon Leftists conceding this claimed truth, Libertarians, like Maher, are confident MAGA will then also concede something, like how MAGA is sliding into dictatorship. But even then, Libertarians assert, Leftists make MAGA justified in their dictatorial violence. ‘MAGA is rightfully asserting we will not tolerate this nonsense “even if we have to cancel Democracy to do it,” Maher asserts. Assuming this unequal extremism is agreed to as shared extremism, Libertarians assert the U.S. will then return to being a balanced, bi-partisan, reconciled land once again. The word fool is thought to come from the French meaning a “silly, stupid, or ignorant person,” or from the Latin meaning a “windbag, empty-headed person.” Either way, Libertarian fools show little interest in conceding that scriptures started political violence. Hindu and Islamic scripture as well as Judaic scripture make violence holy, Godly. Hence, today’s Habakkuk reading is proclaimed by MAGA, “How long, O LORD, must I… cry out to you, “Violence!” MAGA believe they are the Chosen of the Lord who sanctifies MAGAs violence, ‘For the violence shall overwhelm you Leftists.’ MAGA voted for retribution. MAGA is not seeking reconciliation any more than Habakkuk sought reconciliation. MAGA believe violence is salvific, “In wrath… You came forth to save your people.” MAGA are being dutifully obedient to the Lord when they violently “crush the back of the wicked” enemy Leftists. Trump is deploying U.S. soldiers trained into silent dutiful obedience to Democratic ruled cities not to induce Leftist concessions nor reconciliation but rather as a Lord God who uses violence against enemies. Pete Hegseth is rallying ranked soldiers trained into silent dutiful obedience for lethality not to induce Leftist concessions nor reconciliation but rather as another Lord God who uses violence against enemies. Our era’s Chosen People and their soldiers are being dutifully obedient to their Lord/s by supporting and participating in violence against enemies. Let us not be fools about the violence these MAGA Lords and their MAGA members are doing.
